A new single-site logistics facility, optimising Leonardo’s Yeovil footprint, will see the creation of nearly 20,000m2 of warehousing storage which, once completed in autumn 2023, will be leased by Leonardo Helicopters as part of a 35-year agreement.

The site will be operated under a new 10-year commercial contract with Kuehne+Nagel, which will include a multi-million pound investment in plant and equipment installation and transition.

Working in partnership with Leonardo, the plans have been designed with sustainability in mind. It will incorporate elements such as rainwater harvesting tanks, thermally efficient materials and construction methods, and charging points for electric cars and temperature controlled vehicles.
