Hoffmann Group Opens New Facility in Midlands

The overseas confidence and commitment to UK manufacturing has continued through the spring and into summer with the Hoffmann Group cutting the ribbon on its new UK headquarters on August 1st.

At the heart UK manufacturing, the new Birmingham headquarters is a fitting location for the €1bn Euro turnover business.  Located on the Gee Business Centre near both the M5 and M6 motorways, the manufacturer and distributor of everything from cutting tools, metrology, grinding and clamping products through to workstations, power tools and PPE is growing its presence exponentially in the UK.

Europe’s leading system partner for quality tools has appointed Tim Paddison, who brings many years senior level industry experience, as Managing Director. His task will be to align the strengths of the Hoffmann Group even more closely to the needs of the British market. Commenting upon his appointment, Tim Paddison says: “I’m really looking forward to my new role and I’m convinced that despite the challenging market conditions in Great Britain, the Hoffmann Group will grow continuously and profitably. The Hoffmann Group has established relationships in the UK, with a focus on quality and service. This is what our customers appreciate and what we will further strengthen.”

Founded back in 1919, the Hoffmann Group is celebrating its centenary year in style by taking the keys to the new state-of-the-art facility The company published its first catalogue in 1936 and the modern day face of the business boasts upwards of 80,000 products of its own brand GARANT and over 500 leading manufacturer’s brands in its armoury. Working closely with brands such as Bosch, AEG, Mitutoyo, Kennametal, 3M, Bahco and hundreds more, the Hoffmann Group has a solution and product for every manufacturing business.  Additionally, the Hoffmann Group support their customers with comprehensive consulting services about how to use the products as well as additional services about products and processes. For the centenary year, the famous ‘orange catalogue’ which has also reached a landmark with the 2019 publication being the 50th edition, will be published in 18 different languages with a print run exceeding 1.1million copies.

The United Kingdom is one of the largest economies in Europe and has been a very important market for us for a long time,” says Martin Reichenecker, member of the Management Board for Sales & Marketing at Hoffmann SE. “We have lots of customers in Great Britain and we believe that we can be even more successful there if we are closer to our customers and the market. Due to his extensive experience as a Senior Manager in sales and operations in the supply industry in the UK, Tim Paddison is ideally placed to increase our market presence in the UK even further.
