CarnaudMetalbox opens new 150,000 sq ft factory in Leeds

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE) has announced the opening of a new 150,000 sq ft facility in Leeds.

This new addition increases the company’s facilities to over 298,000 sq ft in a move its bosses said would enable the expansion of its production capacity even

The firm produces can machines for food and aerosol manufacturers and added that it was on track to provide customers with a full can making solution.

This new addition increases the company’s facilities to over 298,000 sq ft2, enabling expansion of its production capacity even further to meet increasing demand. The production facility will provide much needed space in support of the company’s continuing machinery sales growth and will further cement CMbE’s future ability to provide can makers with a full can making solution.

Marc Hoche – Vice President and General Manager of CMbE said:

“This is a truly exciting opportunity and marks a milestone in the company’s history. This significant expansion in our capacity will allow us to better serve the industry moving forward”

Unit 12, as the facility will be referred to. is ideally suited to the assembly, testing and despatch of the company’s current and future product portfolio. Over the course of the last month a comprehensive re-fit program commenced at Unit 12 that will see significant investment in infrastructure, welfare and capital equipment.
