Thame Workholding has introduced a new zero-point clamping system, SOLIDBolt from HWR. The new system is a new approach to make zero-point clamping even easier, faster and more precise than ever before.

The exciting new SOLIDBolt system is significantly more cost-effective, flexible and safer when clamping,  it is compatible with any machine or mounting grid and it offers the ultimate flexibility for the end user. The simplicity of the SOLIDBolt system sets it apart from its rivals because, from a technical standpoint, it uses a sliding mechanism consisting of two sliders and a counter-rotating threaded spindle.

With a locking mechanism that has a 45° transmission angle to the clamping bolt, Thame Workholding can guarantee a higher locking force than systems with a vertical arrangement. The principle of SOLIDBolt technology is based upon the optimisation of the SOLIDPoint principle. By reversing the interaction of the zero-point mounting and studs, SOLIDBolt can be used to equip large machine tables at a fraction of the cost of competitor systems.

For machine shops this means that machine tables or base plates can be equipped with bolts instead of zero-point mechanics. The zero-point technology is only used punctually at the required points and this saves money, especially for tables with more than one multiple clamping point. The base plates and conical SOLIDBolt zero-point bolts are available in a vast array of dimensions and configurations to suit the specific needs of the end user.

The system is complemented by a range of zero-point studs, protective aluminium plugs, cover screws and cover plates. For further details on how you can reduce your costs and improve your clamping performance and flexibility with SOLIDBolt , please contact Thame Workholding.
