As you may have read, due to a rapidly growing order book, we had planned to scale up throughout 2020 by moving to a bigger office, building a bigger team and improving our internal systems.

Whilst we are still working towards these goals, primarily we are doing our utmost to ensure that we do not contribute towards the unnecessary spread of the COVID-19 virus.

To protect our team and others, all staff are working remotely and all current and upcoming training courses have been postponed. We have also cancelled or postponed all non-essential business operations such as the office move, our recruitment drive and all external meetings.

We still have staff dedicated to deliveries and packages will be sent and received as normal.

In other news, January saw us win another round of grant funding as part of the HMRC’s Customs Training and IT Grants Scheme. The money was used for new Apple Mac laptops, allowing the team to work remotely.

Also in January we started a new monthly newsletter feature called `Foxmere News` where we share news from Foxmere HQ, we discuss hot products and journal updates, we review upcoming training courses and we share the latest news and jobs from the manufacturing sectors.

The new format has been very well received so far and, this Thursday, we will be sending out the April edition — issue № 004. You can read Foxmere News — Issue № 003 here and you can subscribe here.

Last and by no means least, it was the Foxmere Technologies company birthday on February 23rd. To mark the occasion, we took the staff and their partners out for a meal to Adam’s restaurant in Birmingham where we celebrated a 47% year-on-year growth and enjoyed some of the best food Birmingham has to offer.

It was a truly special AGM and we held a toast to the many that have worked with and supported us over the last 12 months — thank you everyone!
