2019 in Review
4 Minute Read
As 2019 draws to a close, we celebrate nearly an entire year trading with our new brand, `Foxmere Technologies`.
Welcome to what would have been the third installment in our Quarterly-ish roundup series. In this issue we’re looking back on 2019 and what has been our best year on record for growth.
It all started with a rebrand…
On January 1st 2019, we ceased trading as NJJ Automation and began trading as Foxmere Technologies with the vision and passion to take the business to the next level both within the UK and overseas markets.
Aside from an entirely new image and tone, the rebrand brought with it a new website and new social media campaigns on both Twitter and LinkedIn.
In May, we celebrated a huge grant success with thanks to the HMRC’s Customs Training and IT Grants Scheme. The money was used to send two members of the team on a certified customs declaration training course and for new and improved IT equipment for the entire team.
In June, we went on to launch a ~20 course PLC and HMI training programme for engineers of all levels. Since its inception, we have released another 5 courses, including new content for Siemens S7-1200, Allen-Bradley PLC-5 and Mitsubishi FX series.
In July, and despite Brexit (or the lack of), we celebrated continued export success as our total overseas sales exceeded 60% for the year with thanks to an increasing market share in countries such as Greece, Denmark, Jamaica, Brazil and New Zealand.
In September, we tipped over the 1000 follower mark on Twitter — a modest achievement but one we are proud of, nonetheless.
In October, we smashed our all-time company records for both turnover and pro
fit in a single month by nearly 25% and we continued to break sales records and trends right through into December. To say that we were pleased would be an understatement.
In November, we launched a comprehensive range of repair options to complement our parts supply and sourcing service. We announced that we would be repairing servo motors, electronics, stepper motors and much more.
Last and by no means least, in December, GoPrint3D was the winner of our sticker competition and toy robot giveaway.

The participation from our customers and those in UK manufacturing on Twitter was outstanding.
@foxmere Thank you for the mug, K.R.I.S really likes it and decided to start his festivities early, and they subsequently ended as quick as they started. Either that or he is doing his best Burt Reynolds Playgirl impression pic.twitter.com/BUOVJowapD

It was an excellent 6 weeks of fun and a wonderful, light-hearted way to round off the year. Thank you to everyone who took part — we will certainly be making a tradition out of this, so watch this space.
To Conclude
All in all, we have enjoyed a prosperous year and we wanted to close this review by saying thank you to everyone who has supported us. Thank you to our family and friends. Thank you to our customers and suppliers (both old and new), our accountants, our couriers, the tech support and all our other service providers.
Thank you — you wonderful, wonderful people.
